Tom Cretella has the unique experience of having seen the evolution of our health care and insurance systems. Following in the "family business" in 1971 as a life insurance specialist for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, he soon recognized that his clients needs went far beyond just life insurance. He expanded into Property and Casualty, Health Insurance, Disability Insurance, Annuities and Variable products.

By 1976 he earned his professional designation of CLU®. The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) is the world’s most respected designation of insurance expertise. While working for the Life Underwriting Training Council from 1980 to 1985, Tom taught insurance at the University of New Haven. In 1985 Tom earned Connecticut's Certified Insurance Consultant License (Life & Health) designation. He is a current/past member of numerous boards, advisory councils, and insurance associations. Tom's education, industry involvement and pragmatic experience have made him a respected resource for both health insurance industry and for his clients.

Joining Tom at Cretella Benefits is David Belowsky CIT, Brett Kippur and Amanda Arbour. All of our agents share Tom's commitment to client advocacy. David is an old line neighborhood agent that has been in the business since the 1970's. Brett is a Life, Medicare and Long-Term Care Specialist.
